All right, now before I get any deeper into a ticklish situation,
let's wrap things up with an example of good, old-fashioned,
all-American ingenuity.
What did you do when you were a kid to make an extra buck?
Deliver papers? Run a lemonade stand? Pull weeds for the scary
neighbor lady with all the cats? Chances are you didn't open up your
own toll road, which is unfortunate, because that's just what one
enterprising young man did, and he sure is pulling in the loot.
After watching frustrated motorists inch along the motorway by
his house, he decided to convert the small road that cut through his
parents' property into a detour. He and his siblings set up a sign
and a money-in-the-bucket honor system of payment, and lo and behold
they made 270 bucks in the first few days.
Take that, all you dot coms with flimsy business plans. It may
not be high tech, but it makes good business sense: Figure out what
people need, then make 'em pay.
Well, folks, I hope this helps a few of you make a buck or two to
tide you over until the next big thing comes along.
Time for me to run along. As always, be sure to drop by my lil' old fan
club. I check it out every day or two, so it's the most reliable
way to connect with me. Or, you can take your chances and send me an email. I read
everything that comes through, and if I have an extra minute or two,
I do my best to answer back.
Adios ya'll, and as always, Viva la Revolucion!
